LE SUEUR DEVELOPMENT, INC. is a corporation formed to promote and assist economic development activity in the Le Sueur area. It is comprised of members from the area business community and interested individuals who have invested money and time to increase industrial and business activity in the Le Sueur area.

This group of interested and dedicated individuals have provided the investment dollars to acquire land for the Le Sueur Industrial Park and have assisted the development of industry already located in the park.

This organization has a close working relationship with the City of Le Sueur. It serves as the city's economic development arm to promote expansion of existing industry and in promotion and development of new industry with financing programs and other development assistance.

The organization is also actively involved in promoting programs and activities which will aid and improve the overall business climate in the Le Sueur Area. Le Sueur Development, Inc. and the Le Sueur Chamber of Commerce have joint offices in the Downtown Business Center in Le Sueur. The economic development director is Ed Tschida.

Le Sueur's growing industrial community is evidence of this community's understanding of the needs and concerns of industry. It is providing the needed infrastructure and community amenities to serve growing industry and it's management & employees.

The location of Le Sueur in the beautiful Minnesota River Valley area, 50 miles southwest of the Twin Cities Metro Area has been greatly enhanced by the Bloomington Ferry Bridge and the four-lane Shakopee bypass connecting the new bridge and southern Minnesota providing a shorter, more enjoyable commute to the metro area.

The goal of Le Sueur Development is to continue to develop its business and industry base and provide increasing job opportunities for individuals and families who may prefer to enjoy life in a less congested environment but with great quality of life amenities. Le Sueur Development, Inc. recognizes that for its goal to be achieved there must be a community effort to provide those all important quality of life amenities, housing, health care, education, recreation and overall community image. People want to be proud of the community in which they live.

The development organization recognizes its need to support positive programs to support an inviting community.
